The outsole of the shoe is made up of a unique translucent TPU (Thermo Plastic Urethane) material that is non marking and does not leave surface residue when tested according to MIL-S-22777 paragraph 4.5.1.
The removable polyurethane insoles have a non-woven nylon lining that pushes the comfort level to the limits while maintaining an appreciable temperature level within the boot itself. Your feet are sure to feel the difference.
The uppers are made out of black full-grain, oil-tanned leather which easily allows for a quick break-in period so the boot gains a better fit in half the time. Thorogood boots are rated for electrical hazard. These special boots can protect the wearer against open circuits up to 600 volts or less under dry conditions.
